FUNDAMENTALS PERFORMANCE TEAMS

Fundamentals is our Non Competitive Performance cheer program that allows athletes to learn the basics of cheerleading. During our next session we will have two teams in Carson, Rock Stars and Cosmic Stars!

Our fundamentals teams are open to kids ages 6 to 13 and introduce the basics of cheer: stunting, jumps, motions, and a short routine.  Athletes will spend 10 weeks working with their teams and perform at the end of the session for their parents and friends in Reno.

NOVICE CHEER TEAMS

Five Star is very excited to be able to offer a Novice team here at Five Star Carson in the Future!

Our Novice Cheer program is perfect for athletes that are new to cheer! This program is for athletes ages 3-9. Practices will be held once a week for 1 – 1.5 hours. Athletes will perform at two to three events in Reno/Tahoe

Uniform is required!

HALF YEAR PREP TEAMS

Half year teams at Five Star 

Thank you for showing interest in our program. We are excited to be offering two Spring Hype Teams. Enrollment for our Half year teams will begin in September.  These teams are great for athletes that want to learn what All Star cheer is all about or continue cheering after their Pop Warner, SYFL or High School season has ended.  We hope to have you join our Five Star Family for Season 14!

Spring prep teams begin in December and run through May.

CHEER CLASSES

JEALOUS JUMPS- returning soon

This is a strength course designed to help athletes work on their cheer jumps. Athletes will work on strength and flexibility activities designed to improve their jumps as well as correctly executing the different types of cheer jumps.

INTRO TO CHEER

This is an introduction to cheerleading course that is designed to give kids a taste of what cheer is all about. In this class they will execute cheer jumps, dance moves, tumble, work on cheers, and stunt.

STRENGTH AND FLEX- returning soon

This is a flexibility and strength class designed to work on core fitness. Strength and flexibility for flyer body positioning are emphasized in this class however this class is appropriate for all. In addition to flexibility, this class also builds core strength, balance, and spatial awareness.
